About Couponfield

Free Store Coupons—Great for you, Great for Business

Couponfield was founded to meet the needs of businesses hoping to promote their products & services, and of consumers looking for free local coupons. These days, budget-conscious consumers are looking for online coupons, but cash-strapped businesses may have difficulty paying to advertise deals that further reduce margins.

That's where Couponfield comes in. By avoiding advertising costs altogether, businesses are able to offer better discounts and more store coupons. Businesses previously "priced out of" the coupon advertising market are back in the game, which is why we expect to have unique, online coupons from small, family-owned businesses alongside those from larger retail operations.

Our service will always include free local coupons for consumers, and completely free coupon postings for businesses. This is no free trial, it's forever free. This is no free introductory level with the hopes of upselling: it's one level of excellent, free coupon service. That's it.

The 3/50 Project Couponfield is committed to helping independent, local businesses thrive. If your friend wanted to open a small electronics store, would you encourage him? Or would you worry that he was immediately going to get crushed by Best Buy and Wal-Mart? If the "big box" trend continues in retail and consumer services, the idea of opening any independent business may eventually become a whimsical, ill-omened dream. When you support small, local businesses, you help avoid that future. You also increase investment in your own community, improving the quality of life.

That's why we’re proud to support the 3/50 Project, encouraging consumers to pick three local businesses that they would miss if they closed, and purchase at least $50 in goods or services from them.

No one is trying to vilify the larger chains; often, they provide convenience and selection that are hard to pass up. We’re happy to offer their coupons and let the consumers decide. But, our hope is that by providing online coupons for local businesses, we can make it easier for consumers to at least provide these independents with some of their spending dollars. It really won't take a huge percentage of most communities' budgets to keep their options alive.
