Business FAQs:
Is this just a free trial, or a free "basic package" with the intention of charging at a later date?
Our service will always be free to businesses. Businesses will always be able to post unlimited
numbers of coupons (though we reserve the right to remove offers of dubious consumer value that may "clutter"
the site), review their reports, and utilize all of the advanced functionality of the site, all for free, for as
long as Couponfield is in business. Period. End of story.
Can I pay to get my coupons listed at the top of the site?
No. At Couponfield, all businesses are treated equally regardless of size or resources. The sole factor in
the ordering of coupons in a list is the zip code proximity, followed by date of post.
Looking for ways to make your offer stand out? Our Coupon Research Center offers tips and pointers for
creating unique offers.
I offer coupons, but only to those individuals who sign up to receive promotional
newsletters and/or sign-up to join my Savings Club. Do I have a similar option with Couponfield?
Not yet, but a similar option is planned for no later than Spring 2010.
What about webcodes/promo codes for internet stores, or the online component of my "brick and mortar" business?
We're happy to take those, simply enter a description that contains the promotional code. At this time,
we are not offering active links or any reporting tools to enhance webcodes. We're expecting to roll out
that functionality in Spring, 2010.
Can I set up coupons with auto-renewing expiration dates?
Not yet, but this is planned for Winter 2009.
What about coupons that are not discounts off my product or services,
but promissory certificates to charities, i.e., "Bring this coupon in and buy one pizza, and we'll donate
50 cents to the Boys and Girls Club"?
At this time, Couponfield will not be able to handle the distribution of funds to the charities themselves
and will not be able to provide any certification that a business did (such contributions are on an honor system),
but we're planning on adding this functionality. Charity drives fit right into our vision of what a community-oriented
coupon site should be.
Will other companies be able to see the performance data of my coupons?
Absolutely not, we protect your privacy. General coupon statistics, stripped of any information that would indicate
or suggest the identity of any individual business, may be reported in aggregate, but at no time will your personal
information be shared, for any purpose. For more information, please see the Terms and Conditions.
Your terms and conditions indicate that you can remove any posting for containing "inappropriate content". What is meant by this?
If we are suspicious of a potential problem, such as a "bait and switch" offer or another general scheme,
we will remove the item(s) in question. While Couponfield is not liable for any posted offers, we make every
reasonable effort to protect consumers from questionable businesses.
Will you be adding customer reviews?
The internet is swimming in sites for business reviews, and at this time, a review feature is not being planned
for Couponfield. If a more credible way of collecting reviews becomes available (i.e., confirming that the reviews
are posted by actual customers/buyers, not owners/friends or competitors), then this decision may be reconsidered.
